my [long] weekend in photos

friday night we headed down to grammy’s house after work.
we pulled into town right as the sun was setting over the water,
what a great way to start the long weekend.

having a snack outside in our swim suits.
still envious this suit doesn’t come in my size. i can’t get enough of it.

after our snack it was time to take the boat out.

heading out into the blue water. amazing.

after nap time, we headed down to the beach.
we have approximately 24 cloth diapers at home that double as swim diapers…
and we didn’t even pack one on the trip. #fail

regardless, we had fun playing in the ocean.

i enjoyed my zero proof cucumber ginger jasmine-tini at dinner saturday night.
it probably wasn’t as good as a real martini, but it was sure yummy.

sunday we headed to the rays / yankees game in probably the sickest seats we’ve ever sat in.

kenley loved that the seats were all-you-can-eat too. and she did!

i didn’t mind seeing evan longria that close.

sporting her new rays watch too.

after the game, we headed out on the boat one more time.

once we got back into town, we headed over to the jenkinson’s for a memorial day cookout.
the girls had fun being silly.

in true memorial day fashion, kenley loved the corn on the cob!

we had a great long weekend away and enjoyed our extra day off.
today we remember and thank those who have served our country so we could have such a great weekend.

we headed down to see grammy on saturday.
kenley and i went for a stroll and ended up at the beach.

after dinner, kenley and i caught the very tail end of the sunset at the beach.

this was the best thing i could find at the gas station with an extra boost of vitamin c.
i refuse to get sick.

this one had no problem getting comfy on the drive back.

our weekend began on thursday night as we headed to grammy’s house for an early christmas

we had a great, early christmas celebration at grammy’s house,
which is one of our favorite traditions.

now it’s time to unpack and repack!

33 Weeks :: beach bum

Kenley hit the beach for the first time this past weekend.

We were lucky that the hotel had cabanas included with our rooms, they were first come, first serve.
Good thing we have a human alarm clock that gets us up early.
We were able to snag five of them with the amount of people we had in our parties.

What is this stuff?

Ohhh, it’s wet. I wonder how it tastes.

Playing defense. A daily game in our household.
Of course her bathing suit bottoms and swim diaper were filled with sand.
Luckily, we packed more than enough to take down to the beach with us, including diapers.

The pack-n-play was a last minute decision in case there wasn’t a crib in our hotel room.
It definitely came in handy. We were hoping she would take a snooze in it,
but she obviously didn’t want to miss anything, so that didn’t happen.
It was nice though not to have to hold her the entire time or worry about her getting too much sun, eating sand, etc.

The tide coming in. She loves the water and splashed around a bit.

Overall, the first beach experience was a success.
It definitely helped having great amenities, but now we know, for the most part,
what to expect and what to pack/not to pack for our next beach excursion.

Oh, the perks of Florida living.

we had our second long weekend in a row and headed to st. pete beach thursday after work

unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate on friday

we ventured out to john’s pass for lunch

hanging out with addy & drew

rainy weather means shopping and everyone loves shopping

hanging out in the room with auntie alanna, addy, and cullen

luckily, the weather cleared up and we headed to the beach on saturday

we also hit the pool

and watched the boys have fun

after an amazing dinner with the family, we headed out to catch the sunset

my [memorial day] weekend in photos

[sorry to those who receive email updates, i'm trying to find a different host for photos
and mistakenly published a post... whoops. technical difficulties. forgive me.]

we loaded up the car to head down to grammy’s on friday after dinner.
kenley was well aware that this wasn’t our normal bedtime routine.

we stopped off for a road trip treat.
half chocolate, half vanilla milkshake.

we were up early and ready to swim on saturday.
many more pics to come.

i took advantage of nap time to soak up some rays
and catch up on life, fitness, fashion, and decor.
i finally also finished the second hunger games book. holy moly.

the new coozie of the rest of my life.

we were able to stop by the beach on our way home to see them,
which was somewhat of a tease since we had to come back and go to work tomorrow,
but looking forward to spending this weekend with them.
