The Social Network

After watching the Oscars, we figured it was finally time to see
The Social Network.

That’s what we’re up to tonight,
after a rough afternoon of watching the Bethenny Getting Married
marathon on Bravo. 🙂

Sorry Ben for watching your Valentine’s Day present before you.

Sunday Funday

After we were productive this morning with the errands & grocery shopping…
we spent the afternoon at the pool with Melissa & Ben.

Then topped the day off with some mango margaritas.

It was a perfect Florida day which reminds me why we live here.

Hope your Sunday was a fun day! 🙂

Long Day of Lacrosse

Today we hosted two home lacrosse games.
It made for an extra long day.
Especially since both the games went into overtime!
Unfortunately, we didn’t win either, but they were very exciting!

I did, however, get to toy around with a new lens,
which made the day even more exciting.
But also made my wish list grow just a tad longer.
{A girl can dream right?}

It was the the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS
and it was ah-mazing!

It zoomed like five times as much as my lens does
and I got to take some great action shots!

Happy weekend!

A Lot of Space

I really like organization.
I like buying things that help me organize.
I like cleaning out my closets, rooms, etc.
so I can re-organize them.

Lately, I’ve been super paranoid about weird things.
My computer crashing…
and me losing all of my photo memories from college.
All of my documents from grad school.
Everything.

I’ve also been paranoid about leaving things plugged in
or turning on appliances when we leave the house.
But that is besides the point.

So, this guy that I like a lot bought me this do-hicky-thing-a-ma-jig.

That my friends, is an external hard drive.
One with a whole heck of a lot of space.
So, if my worst fear happens and my computer crashes,
everything will be backed up on here!

This weekend, I am diving into a major organization project with all of my electronic files.

Can you tell I’m excited?

National Holiday(s)

Today is National Recreational Sports & Fitness Day!

As well as National Margarita Day!!

National Recreational Sports & Fitness Day comes from the
National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA),
which I am a proud member of…
On this day in 1950, NIRSA was formed!!

I am thankful for NIRSA because that is my chosen profession.

I have absolutely not idea where National Margarita Day comes from,
but I do like margaritas, so I am thankful for that holiday too.

I chose to celebrate the former by going to spin class tonight.

Today was a gorgeous February day in Florida.
Which ended with a gorgeous sunset!

Photo books!

I don’t have much experience with photo books,
but with my new camera and the amount of pictures I’ve been taking lately,
I have a feeling I’m going to become more acquainted
with them in the very near future.

Back in July, we were able to go to California for an extra long weekend
to see one of my bffs, Mandy, get married!
Around that time, I had purchased a Groupon for a Shutterfly photo book for
10 bucks! Steal.
The book turned out really great, especially for the price!

So, a few months ago I purchased the same Shutterfly Groupon.
I mean, how could I not?
It was about to expire, so I seriously threw together
a photo book of our trip to Frisco last month.
It came today!!
Again, I’m very pleased with it and it was only $10!

I really had never used Shutterfly before because I had been loyal to Snapfish,
but I haven’t see any Snapfish Groupons out there, so sorry Snapfish.

If you don’t know about Groupon yet, you’re missing out. Get with the game!!

What photo books sites do you use?? I’m always open for suggestions!

Going Local

Just over a year ago Summit Church started the “Going Local” initiative.
We are now a multi-campus community!

Greg and I transitioned to the Waterford campus a few months ago
and have been attending the services at a small elementary school near us.
I was a little apprehensive at first
because we love our pastor and we loved the main campus church.
Every campus sees the same message via video,
so it’s very contemporary and really awesome.

We ended up liking it a lot and stayed with the Waterford services.

Well, today was our first Sunday service in our brand new facility!
Everyone is so excited, as are we!

The new facility is literally 6 miles from our house, so it’s really convenient too!

If you are having trouble seeing the photo, click here!

Sorry!

Sunny Saturday

Today was a rough day at work.
We had a lacrosse game on campus so I spent my Saturday afternoon
hanging outside…in the sunny and 75* weather.
It was tough. Let me tell ya.

Luckily, Greg came along too!
It was nice to have someone to talk to on the drive.

We lost, but it sure was a beautiful day for lacrosse!
