32 Weeks!

Baby G now weighs about 3 3/4 lbs, about as much as a large jicama!
I had to Google what a jicama actually was and it turns out
that it’s some sort of turnip looking root that is very popular in Mexico.
Who knew?!

Baby G and I are progressing right along through this third trimester.
I am feeling very pregnant these days…
the Braxton Hicks contractions are in full force,
I feel her up in my ribs most of the day,
but also down in my pelvis at the same time,
and I’m getting more and more tired as the days progress.

Overall, I think I’ve had a fairly easy pregnancy,
so I’m not complaining, but I now understand how
women hit the third trimester wall… I feel like it’s quickly approaching!

We have a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks & months,
September is jam packed with weddings, baby showers,
and our prenatal education classes at the hospital!

Seriously, this little girl is going to be here before we know it!

You can see how I’ve progressed every week or two here!

Transforming the EXPEDIT

First of all, thank you all so much for the comments
and kind words about the nursery.
We are so happy with how it turned out!

***

Our first project in the nursery was the EXPEDIT!

I mentioned here that this was one of my visions and inspirations
for the nursery, but I cannot take any credit for it.
Of course, I’m not crafty enough to think of this myself,
so thanks to Pinterest, I found this blog.
Genius!

This…

turned into this…

CAPITA Leg – 6″

These little guys are located in the kitchen section, by the way,
which is a whole different story in itself.

The added bonus were the light pink knobs from Lowe’s for 96 cents!

Now that we have made this into a dresser,
we are planning to put the changing table pad on top,
which I’m glad we planned on doing, because I don’t think
another piece of furniture could fit in that room if we tried!

30 Weeks!

30 weeks! Three quarters of the way done!
I cannot believe that we only have 10 weeks left!
Ca-razy!

This little girl is now approximately 15 inches long
and weighs about 3 lbs which is about the weight of a head of cabbage.

I can definitely tell she’s getting bigger because,
well, I’M getting bigger,
and she’s always finding new places to kick and squirm in there.

I feel like every couple weeks I give the same updates,
I’m still feeling pretty good, definitely becoming more uncomfortable
and sleeping is getting more and more difficult.
I think it’s going to continue that way until the very end though.

However, here are some new updates… my belly button STILL has not popped out yet.
It’s still somewhere between an innie and an outie, still pretty gross.
I had my first intense craving this week,
I was dying for Quiznos for lunch on Tuesday… no clue why,
we don’t even eat Quiznos that much. But, I got it and it was delish.
I can no longer wear my wedding rings ::insert pouty face::
My hands don’t look like they are swollen, but I guess they are…
it’s not horrible, just too close to risk it in my opinion.
My feet and ankles are becoming more swollen… joy.

I definitely do not think this picture does any justice to how big I really am.
so take it for what it’s worth!

Keep an eye out for nursery pictures coming very soon!

Office Makeover Part Dos

I must admit, I was satisfied with the current situation in our office
after we spruced it up a bit here.

That was until we finally broke down and bought a printer on Friday,
after not having one for months and months,
when in all honesty, we have been in need of one for months and months.

Turns out, it was a little bigger than what it appeared to be in the store.

So then I started to not be satisfied with the office
because this ginormous printer was taking up half the desk
along with the piles of other stuff that had accumulated.
Greg even commented on how we really need a bigger desk.

So I got to work researching office desks on IKEA,
for our anticipated trip the next day,
but we came to the conclusion that the one I really liked,
the Galant system, was a little out of our price range at this time.

We made a deal that if there was a large(r) desk in the “As Is” section at IKEA
the following day that we’d just see if we could made it work.

Well you could imagine excitement when we walked into
the “As Is” section and there is the white Galant table with A-frame legs!
The description said it was a floor model and there was, what looked like,
pencil marks all over the table top. The pencil marks came right off
and we had ourselves a new desk already assembled in great condition, for a total of $75!!

We purchased the tower holder for Greg’s desktop as well as a cord catcher
to assemble on the desk as well, which brought our total up to just over $100.
I was still thrilled seeing how just the desk brand new was $130
and we still would have needed the other two accessories.

Let me just tell you how much I hate cords.
HATE THEM.
We have a box of cords that I despise.
Cords that don’t even go to anything.
Don’t worry, Greg knows about this hatred.

But look how great it looks!!
No cords!!
A nice, big desk with lots of room!

I cannot tell you how happy this makes me!
Not to mention we sold our old desk for $50 in less than 12 hours,
so this whole make over cost us just that, about $53!

Finally, the office is complete!

SnapShops!

I was so excited when one of my absolute favorite bloggers
decided to put her SnapShops (beginner dslr photography workshop) online.
Previously she had only held face-to-face classes, which is awesome,
but not for me, since Tulsa is pretty far away.

I signed up and told Greg that this could be a birthday or Christmas present,
or whatever. I just knew that I needed to do it now because I have a
feeling that we’re going to be pretty busy in the coming months.

To be honest though, I kinda forgot about it until this morning
when I started browsing through my blogs… I got to Ashley Ann’s post
and was absolutely moved to tears.

Do yourself a favor and read …and the journey finally began

God is good.

I am so excited to start this course today to learn how to better use my camera,
but even more excited that from this course TWO families are going to be able to adopt!

Amazing.

Happy Monday!
