Three Months

Crosby is three months old and is officially not a newborn anymore.

He is changing more and more each day and everyone says he is looking more and more like his big sister.
Speaking of, he LOVES watching her. She can hold his attention longer than anyone else.
This is probably because she is louder than anyone else, but that’s ok.
She loves giving him kisses and hugs (which usually just means she presses her cheek against his).
We are still reminding her to not poke his head, face, eyes, etc. but most of the time it’s in loving way.

Crosby is doing really well and is sleeping like a champ!
So much so that his long naps have thrown off his eating schedule this week at school.
It was pretty erratic and I was concerned he wasn’t eating enough, so we took him for a weight check on Friday.
When they asked what was going on, I felt so silly saying that he’s perfectly fine, happy, and sleeping through the night.
Of course we mothers have to find something to worry about!
However, I’m glad we did go in because while he’s gained weight in the past month,
he’s dropped on his growth chart. So, we are working on getting him on a better daily eating schedule.
The good news is that we don’t have to wake him to eat during the night, just from his naps during the day.
The boy sure doesn’t look like he’s only in the 36th percentile! Look at those cheeks!

We are loving the fact that we can lay him down at night while he’s awake and he goes to sleep on his own.
This is something that Kenley did not do! We frequently rocked, patted, and shh-ed her to sleep.
All you have to do is swaddle Crosby up and give him his paci and he’s good to go.
I’m sure it won’t always be this easy, so we’re enjoying it now!

He also has gone from hating being naked to loving it.
Diaper changes used to consist of a screaming baby, but now he’s quite content.
Likewise for bath time. He loves it!
He is also getting a little better at tummy time… but I wouldn’t go as far to say that he likes it.
This weekend, he rolled over during tummy time too!

thirteen weeks

Three month notes:
Weight – 13 lbs 4 oz
Hair – Dark, a small mullet, and a bald spot in the back

Dislikes – Gas, not having a warm bottle ready the minute he’s ready to eat at school
