before my parents left on saturday, greg and i headed out for a date night on friday night. we enjoyed our wine tasting and dinner at cooper’s hawk, then a beer at brass tap.

as soon as we were up on saturday morning, the christmas decorations started coming down. we took a short break to celebrate jackson’s 5th birthday at the park, complete the light sabers!

the weather was nice and cool and the kids had a great time. once kenley showed crosby how to put his leg over the top of the tower, he continued to climb over and over again. it’s so fun watching him learn new things.

after ringing in the new year, we headed to the science center on sunday morning to check out the new kidstown, as well as toytopia before it ends. the new kidstown is amazing!

greg and the kids had already been to toytopia, but i really enjoyed learning about the history of so many toys.

today was full of grocery shopping and meal prepping! so excited to start the year off on the right foot.

balance bike ride around the block. no one was smiling by the time we got home. who’s ready to go back to school tomorrow?!

we had a great weekend, but we’re all anxious to get back into the swing of things now that all of our visitors have gone home.
