Friday I’m in Love {July}

I realize that it’s not Friday but that’s how the last week has gone for us. I still wanted to share my Friday loves for this month, so here we are!

1 (2)

{1} I love the 4th of July for many reasons. We hosted a 4th of July pool party this year, so we all were decked out in cute 4th of July apparel. It probably doesn’t surprise you that most of it came from Target! Cat & Jack is one of my favorite brands for the kids, including their swimsuits. Crosby wore lobster swim trunks and Kenley had the Lucky Charms one piece suit. Kenley also wore the Americana stars and stripes tank. I’ve since picked up the Rose in the USA shirt on clearance for next year.

{2} We got a couple Big Joe floats last year (the watermelon and the lime) from Sam’s Club and they are my absolute favorite! The bean bag style floats are definitely the way to go since they are durable and don’t pop. We found a couple Big Joe Petz floats for the kids at Aldi last week for an amazing price! We have loved having them in the pool this summer.

{3} I have had a Road ID bracelet for a while that I wear when I run, but I got each of the kids one last year after a recommendation from a friend. We’ve used them so much this summer between trips to the theme parks and Kenley going on field trips for camp. It’s becoming second nature for the kids to wear them when we’re going to be out and about. One of nice things about the kids bracelet is that it comes with three different sized bands so it’ll grow with them!

{4} Old Navy has been having some amazing sales over the last couple of weeks. As I have been slowly back to school shopping for the kids, I have picked up a couple things for myself that I could not pass up. My favorite so far is the slub-knit tee dress. I ordered the black and gray and I have worn them both so much in just a couple of weeks. They are super comfy and can be dressed up or down. I scored them for $10 each, which you cannot beat!

{5} I am sure you have noticed that hats are a staple in my wardrobe this summer all the time. Maggi and Rachel both mentioned these hats that with airport codes on them and I immediately loved them! I started with the Aviate MCO hat since I need to represent Orlando, but there are several cities and colors on my wish list! They are so cute.

What are you loving this month?

Pass-A-Grille Beach {2018}

Greg and I celebrated our ten year anniversary on July 5th. We packed up the car and headed to the west coast for a few days away. Our first stop in Tampa was the Oxford Exchange. We had a great brunch in the most adorable place.

After brunch, we headed to a few breweries before getting to the beach. Our first stop was Cigar City, home of Greg’s favorite beer, Jai Alai. Our next stop was Green Bench Brewing Company. It was a super cute place, but not our favorite beers.

Untitled

We made it to Pass-A-Grille Beach just as our room was ready. We had a great view and headed right out, across the street, to the beach for the afternoon.

Our anniversary dinner was at The Mill. We had the best charcuterie board and a great dinner! Afterwards, we headed to 3 Daughters Brewery for another drink. I wish we lived closer to that place because it was awesome and the kids would love playing there!

On Friday morning, we went for a run around Pass-A-Grille. We saw the whole town in a short amount of time. Afterwards, it was time for drinks and brunch before heading to the beach. It was a cloudy day, but we both got fried!

We walked to dinner at Grace on Friday night, then sat on our deck to watch the sunset. We headed back out later for ice cream before calling it a night.

Legoland {July 2018}

On Saturday, we headed to Legoland for a final trip before our passes expire. We’ve had so many great experiences there the last few years, but we are ready for a little break. The Wrights joined us on Saturday too, which made it even better!

We rode the horses for the first time ever!

There were a few new Star Wars additions to Miniland, which Crosby was very excited about! I think LEGO Chewbacca was everyone’s favorite.

4th of July {2018}

We kicked off our 4th of July holiday with the Firecracker 5k in our community! Kenley and I signed up the morning of, so there wasn’t much training involved in this 5k. My expectations were low and I knew there would be a significant amount of walking involved. Kenley was excited that her friends were there too!

She did a good job but you can definitely tell the difference from a 5k in January versus a 5k in July. It was hot and humid!
