In 2012, I decided I wanted to run a half marathon. I had never been a runner, but I found myself becoming increasingly envious of those who were running races. I decided to take the plunge and registered for my first half marathon in July of 2012. I trained and trained and completed my first half marathon on December 1st, 2012. I had every intention running throughout my second pregnancy, but the doctor had different orders. I started running consistently about six months postpartum after baby #2 and I fell in love with the sport. I consistently ran races for about two years before deciding it was time to register for my first marathon. In November 2016, I signed up to run with the Ronald McDonald House Charities team for 2017 Chicago marathon!
