Happy Friday! It’s February and love is in the air. Let’s get to what I’m loving this week.

The kids had themed dress-up days at school this week for spirit week. We all loved it! I was always totally into spirit days growing up, but I have to say it’s just as fun dressing the kids up. This week they had team spirit day, tacky tourist day, Marvel vs. DC day, career day, and pajama day. In all of my years of spirit days, I had never done tacky tourist day and it was my favorite day this week. Greg made them both a sweet camera which they both carried with them all day. I posted the rest of their outfits on Instagram, so you can check them out.

Sunday was the Superbowl and while I have no interest in talking about the actual game, I will talk about the halftime show. Lady Gaga was on point. If you haven’t seen her performance, you can watch it all here. I am also stoked that she announced her tour dates the following day AND is performing along side Metallica on Sunday at the Grammy’s. That’s a match made in heaven if you ask me (and Greg).

Greg has really gotten into the show Hunted, therefore, I have also gotten into it. It’s really interesting and I find myself learning something new each episode.

Podcast update: the kids have been loving this Disney Story Central podcast I found from Denaye at Simple Families. The episodes are short so they are perfect for the ride to school in the morning. I am really into podcasts right now, so share your favorites with me! I recently cancelled my Sirius/XM subscription in my car because between podcasts and Spotify, I didn’t feel like I was listening to it enough to justify the price.

Happy Friday! There is so much to love right now, the holidays are right around the corner and we’ve been having some amazing fall weather this week.

I have shared my love for ALDI a few times, but here is yet another reason to give ALDI a try:

I promise, you won’t be disappointed. I am so excited about the changes coming to the store and I will definitely be expanding my grocery list when shopping there.

Metallica’s new ablum was released this week, as well as their rendition of Enter Sandman with classroom instruments on Jimmy Fallon. I love these!

Heather invited me to be her guest at Wine Women & Shoes last night benefiting the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation. It was such a fun night towards such a great cause.

In case you missed it, I shared this week that I will be running the Chicago Marathon next October with Team RMHC. It feels way too real now that I have actually announced it to the world. I’m so nervous already.

Friday I’m in Love

It’s that time of year again when all of the good TV shows are returning and the new ones are starting. We watched the first episode of This Is Us and I am in. love. It’s already been called “the new Parenthood” and it is and I still love it. If you haven’t watched it yet, definitely check out the pilot episode.

With the kids’ birthdays quickly approaching, I am feeling all the emotions about having a three year old and a five year old. I stumbled across this article this week and it really hit home. While I sometimes miss having a tiny baby, I am happy to leave behind the baby and toddler days.

It’s officially fall, ya’ll! I’m not afraid to admit that I’ve had my fall decor up since Labor Day, but now I can officially embrace the fall season…even if the high is 90 degrees today. We are gearing up for a fun October and looking forward to a fun fall season! I think I need to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte this weekend.

I had heard about Cosmic Kids Yoga through someone on Instagram recently but I hadn’t given it a try. On Wednesday, Kenley and I were playing in her room and I decided it would be a good time for a quiet activity before bed. We ended up doing two of the sessions and it was so fun! The first was very relaxing and the second had a little bit more movement and jumping around, so we should have done that one first, but they were both great. She liked them and they kept her interest. I actually felt like I got a good stretch out of it, too. We also did another session last night and Crosby joined in on a few of the moves. This week especially, I needed a couple good yoga workouts, but seriously, toddlers doing yoga is the cutest thing ever.

Do you know what I needed this week? This post. This post that my sweet friend sent me just at the right time this week. She said it spoke to her and that she thought of me while reading it. Thank God that she did because I needed to read it too, again and again.

Today happens to be the kids’ favorite day of the whole school year: WATER DAY! You would not believe how excited they have been all week for this day. On top of water day, Kenley also is pumped for pizza and cupcakes for lunch. As you can guess, we’re nearing the end of the school year and summer is quickly approaching.

We started the week sporting our LOVE * PEACE * CHARLOTTE REECE shirts! We said a lot of prayers and lifted up praise for this sweet girl as she had successful surgery on Tuesday. Please follow along and continue to pray for her as she continues this fight!

I was so excited when I read Amazon launches one, two-hour shipping in Orlando through Amazon Now (for Amazon Prime customers). However, once I went in to find our zip code, I was severely disappointed that our zip code is not included yet. Wah. Greg said because traffic is so terrible, which is honestly probably the truth. Hopefully soon though!

This is a wonderful read: How “Mean” Parents Raise Grateful Kids: 5 Things to STOP Doing”. I agree with the author, this is a long and hard process (and we’ve only been working on this for a short number of years), but thankfully I had “mean” parents to lead the way.

Taylor does it again. Her latest music video has an all-star cast and it’s pretty much amazing.

Friday I’m in Love

Hi guys! Remember me? I had every intention to hit publish on a couple posts this week, but now it’s already Friday and I didn’t do that. I got to attend my second Babies, Brunch, and Bubbly this week. Better yet, I got to host one! I had the day off on Tuesday in observance of Veterans Day, so I invited the mamas and their babies over to play. Again, I was without kids since they were in school, but it was still fun having the girls over. I made these Spinach Quiche Cups and they were SO good!

I know I’m a couple weeks late on this, but I’ve been listening to 1989 nonstop. My current faves are Blank Space and I Wish You Would. I’m sure it’ll be different next week.
