saturday morning heather and i got up for a six mile run. the weather was weird and we got a sun shower around mile 5 then this vibrant rainbow appeared.
kenley had her last soccer game on saturday morning.

after a day of errands and getting things done around the house, we headed out for mexican and wine in winter park.
crosby had a blast at his mygym class this morning.
he went in face first every single time and loved it.
meanwhile, kenley had a breakfast date with her daddy.
i snuck out this afternoon and celebrated a sweet baby boy who will be here in just two weeks!
at home, the other three had some serious train building time together.
we headed down to the food truck fair for some dinner tonight. the kids had a blast and we hit up kona ice again for round two of the weekend.

saturday morning i got up and headed to campus for the operation give back wounded warriors 5k. this was my second year running this race and it did not disappoint. i’ll share more about it this week.
soon after, we headed to the fields for kenley’s soccer game!
greg had to work on saturday, so i decided to meet a friend at sea world with the kids. of course we had to see the dolphin show!
it was hot, so we tried to do all of the indoor attractions. checking out the fish!
crosby had class at mygym bright and early this morning, then kenley joined for open gym.
after a family trip to the ymca, we had a little bit of downtime to play upstairs.
the boy wanted a puzzle, and he sure got one.
kenley had her last race of the healthy kids running series tonight. she got second place!
she had such a great time.
she earned her second medal! she’s come a long way since her very first race last fall.
we had a fun, crazy busy weekend and it didn’t seem like we stopped moving.
after the next couple of weekends, we’re planning to slow down for the rest of the summer.

i couldn’t pass up these pretty things when i stopped at the store for soy sauce on friday.
after my alarm went off at 5am on saturday morning, i laid there and thought of every excuse i could think of not get out of bed. reluctantly, i did and i am so glad i forced myself out there. i got in six miles at a slower than normal pace, thanks to not running all week. it sure felt good though.
afterwards, we headed straight to the soccer fields. this was the first time the girls were actually on the field at the same time. they loved it.
kenley did a really good job and played almost the entire game. she will run towards the ball until the ball actually gets to her, then she will run the other way. it’s so fun to watch.
after having friends over for dinner on saturday night, we got up and headed to mygym this morning. crosby had his first class, then we stayed and played during open gym. the kids loved it.
after nap time for everyone, kenley and i went to the y. since my race schedule is pretty empty right now, i’m trying to do mix in strength training and cardio with my run schedule.
we finally had amazing weather for the healthy kids running series! stretching and getting ready to run.

we had a busy weekend and it went by very quickly, but it sure was fun.

from soccer, we went straight to mygym! kenley had a great time and earned her first ribbon.
greg and i headed downtown for a double date night on saturday for ucf celebrates the arts.
we saw two great shows and tons of great art. it was a fun night!
i reluctantly got out of bed at 5am to head to sanford with the girls for the riverside dash 15k. the morning was beautiful and it turned out to be a great race. more on that later, too.
after nap time for everyone, we braved the heat for a bike ride! kenley loves her new bike which ended up coming on friday and was riding it great today.
crosby likes his balance bike too but wasn’t on it very long. i’m excited to see him get better with it.
the healthy kids running series was supposed to start back up tonight, but it was postponed due to some threatening weather. we played at the park instead and the kids had a great time.

we had a crazy, busy, active weekend, but it was so fun.

one of the best ways to avoid meltdowns right before dinner: car rides around the block.

greg pulled the kids in the bike trailer while i ran beside them. it’s already too hot to run after the sun comes up apparently since i was dying after 3 miles. but at least i had good company!

i went to target on a mission and it just so happened the line at starbucks disappeared as soon as i got done checking out. i took that as a sign to treat myself.
later that afternoon, we went to the park to kick around the soccer ball and run around. it didn’t last long on the account of it being 150 degrees out.
after church on sunday we headed to easter lunch hosted by our friends.
crosby’s first easter egg hunt! he was quite serious about it all.
kenley loved it and exclaimed “there is something in it!” every egg she found.

we had an action-packed weekend filled with only fun activities. the kids had a great weekend and we are so thankful for friends who spent their easter holiday with us. to top it off, kentucky lost and baseball is back!
how was your holiday weekend?
the kids were out of school this past week on spring break so meemaw and grandpa came down to visit.
we were so thankful to have them here helping out and keeping the kids occupied. they loved having them here too.
there were lots of trips to the park throughout the week.
saturday morning fun at mygym working on teamwork and balancing. kenley got to go to the gym twice this week and asked if we were going back today. needless to say, she loves it.
crosby loved watching the dogs at hudson’s house. he also loved “rawr-ing” at them.

the weather was gorgeous this weekend.
this morning started at 3:30am for me…yes you read that right. kayla and i headed over to the east coast for the tomoka half marathon. watching the sun come up over the water was so pretty. it turned out to be a great race for the both of us even though we had to cross that bridge twice. a full recap is coming this week.
she and i headed out for a couple errands this evening and picked up dinner. i’m not sure when she got so old.
we had a great last weekend of march and the kids had a great week off school. we’re all looking forward to getting back to our normal routine tomorrow and embracing all the busyness that is coming in april.
