To kick off the first couple days of summer, we headed to Hollywood Studios on June 1st. This was a much anticipated trip as it was the first ride on the Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster for a few of the friends. The morning started with a trip to Starbucks to fuel the day.
We thought we may have time for Star Tours before our first fast pass but it took a while to get into the park, so we headed straight for Tower of Terror. We ended up doing child swap and taking turns going up in the tower. Kenley lucked out and got to ride it twice.
After Tower of Terror we saw the Frozen Sing Along show. This was our first time seeing the show and I am truly disappointed in us. The show is hilarious! I kept telling Greg that I can’t wait for him to see it.
We hit up Star Tours next before it was lunch time!
We opted for some indoor activities after lunch and saw the Muppets in 3D! It was a cute show, but not as cool in there as we had hoped.
Before heading over to what we thought would be our last fast pass of the day, we met Chewbacca!
Riding Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster with six year olds is the best. The looks on their faces are priceless. They both love the ride so much, but the start of it gets them every time.
Half of our party were able to snag an additional fast pass for Toy Story in the evening, so Remi in guest relations hooked us all up with fast passes AND free ice cream for the kids. Obviously, we got a selfie with him. Our day had been extended a couple more hours, so we headed back out for some dinner.
We caught the Little Mermaid show before ending the day with Toy Story! It was such a long day, but so much fun!
We kicked off summer the best way we knew how and these mamas were tired by the end of the day!

I am rarely on Facebook these days, but I happened to see a friend post about a food chopper that she just ordered. Considering all of the food prep we’ve been doing, I immediately ordered it. The Chef’n VeggiChop Hand-Powered Food Chopper is the jam! I first used it for bell peppers and wasn’t a huge fan because they turned out pretty watery. I used it next for onion and cilantro and it was amazing! I think I chopped the peppers too fine so I probably will try them again. Overall, I’m a fan. It’s so fast and easy!

Greg and I really love iced coffee (with vanilla and cream) and it’s our go-to drink at Starbucks. Greg did some research and found a copycat recipe from Starbucks themselves! He’s been grinding, pressing, and icing coffee each week for us and it’s so good!

Thank you Target for the best shirt of the year. Both of my kids got a new Strong Like Mom shirt to sport. Bravo, Target, bravo!

The Hoosiers got a big win last night in the Big Ten tournament giving us a glimmer of hope for making the tournament. Either way, we’re ready for March Madness! Bring on the basketball!

I mentioned that we saw Trolls last weekend and it was so good! I was happy to hear so much great music in the movie. We’ve been listening to the soundtrack all week and we all love it! An added bonus is that you can listen to it for free if you have Amazon Prime or Spotify.

Target released their Black Friday deals this week! I was able to pick up a couple of gifts for super cheap yesterday during the preview sale. I have never been a big Black Friday shopper, so these early deals are right up my alley. Keep them coming!

this has been our life for the last week. olympics all day, every day.
we had a busy saturday, which included a trip to the y in the morning, swimming, nap time, then to the grocery store while daddy went to work.
afterwards, we headed to starbucks for a little afternoon treat.

after church on sunday, we headed to disney to see our friends who were in from new york.
we loved seeing lucas and ivy! we wish we could have stayed and played all day, but daddy had to go to work again.
they sat up there most of the weekend playing with “daddy’s legos”.

we had a good weekend and a good end to camp gilbo. i’ll share more pics this week from our week at home, but we’re excited for the kids to go back to school tomorrow!

this morning, we saw finding dory! it was super cute.
after the movie and a lot of errands, we headed out for a bike ride and some nature exploring.
we ended the weekend with a fabulous father’s day dinner tonight to celebrate this guy.

I don’t know how we just found about the show Fixer Upper, but we did and we’re loving it. Greg thinks Chip is hilarious and I just love anything and everything HGTV related. If you haven’t seen it then definitely give it a shot!

Did you see that Harper Lee is going to be publishing her second book in July?! I definitely will be reading To Kill A Mockingbird again before July because it has been quite a while since high school.

I tried my first Starbucks Flat White (with added vanilla) yesterday and it was delicious! The Flat White is steamed milk over ristretto shots of espresso. Yum.

the hoosiers were so close to beating uconn on friday. unfortunately, they did not.

greg and i hit up some early black friday specials at the mall on friday
and had ourselves a mini date (with a sleeping infant in tow).
all maternity leave is doing is fueling my starbucks addiction.
i know, i know, it’s too early for this, but we decorated for christmas on saturday!

kenley was all about it. she loved the ornaments.

the tree lights can be either white or colored. i like the white, kenley likes the “green lights”.

i had a doctor’s appointment on friday morning, so greg and i had time for a quick breakfast date
at starbucks after we dropped kenley off. we’ll take whatever we can get!
i scored 35 kcups of decaf on amazon for $11.50!
i was pumped! it really is the little things in life.
we headed down to visit grammy on saturday morning, which meant kenley got to go swimming!
we forgot a sippy cup so she was forced to drink out of a big girl cup.
she’s getting better and better at it.
after sleeping in until 7:30am (!!!), we watched a little bit of mickey mouse.
it’s her favorite show, if you can’t tell.
we headed out for a walk down by the beach, which didn’t last long
for this very pregnant girl in the summer heat.
i’m ready for fall… but i’m afraid this baby will be here before fall will…
i am officially done with my summer class! my first semester is in the books.
