Friday I’m in Love

Happy Friday and happy March!

o n e

I am rarely on Facebook these days, but I happened to see a friend post about a food chopper that she just ordered. Considering all of the food prep we’ve been doing, I immediately ordered it. The Chef’n VeggiChop Hand-Powered Food Chopper is the jam! I first used it for bell peppers and wasn’t a huge fan because they turned out pretty watery. I used it next for onion and cilantro and it was amazing! I think I chopped the peppers too fine so I probably will try them again. Overall, I’m a fan. It’s so fast and easy!

Greg and I really love iced coffee (with vanilla and cream) and it’s our go-to drink at Starbucks. Greg did some research and found a copycat recipe from Starbucks themselves! He’s been grinding, pressing, and icing coffee each week for us and it’s so good!

Thank you Target for the best shirt of the year. Both of my kids got a new Strong Like Mom shirt to sport. Bravo, Target, bravo!

The Hoosiers got a big win last night in the Big Ten tournament giving us a glimmer of hope for making the tournament. Either way, we’re ready for March Madness! Bring on the basketball!

Happy Friday!

I know that I have mentioned our love for Sugarcrash Kids before, but I shared a little bit more over on Orlando Moms Blog this week. I also haven’t shared that fun news that the kids were interviewed at the end of one of the podcasts this season! They are in the BUGS!!! episode and you can listen to it on their website. They are at the 17:55 mark if you want to have a listen. They were so excited when they heard themselves while listening to the podcast.

Last week, Misha mentioned her love for the Cat & Jack line at Target and I couldn’t agree more! I was thrilled to get to buy some itty bitty baby boy clothes for a good friend this week. I had so much fun browsing all of the adorable baby items. I still stand by one of our favorite and most efficient baby items ever: the inverted zipper pajamas!

Friday I’m in Love

It’s Friday already? Thank goodness. This has been a crazy, busy week and it’s only going to get worse this month. But, spring is right around the corner and we are definitely looking forward to it!

Monday was Leap Day! I woke up thinking about how I was going to dominate my extra day of the year, but it turns out it was just like any other day. I dropped the kids off, went to work, went to class, and ate dinner at 9pm. It was still fun to think about how we had an entire full day this year that we didn’t have last year! Greg actually had jury duty on Leap Day this week. Which leads me into number two…

t w o

Not only did he have jury duty, he was selected to be on the jury for a week…long…trial. Aside from missing work, he has really enjoyed this whole experience. However, we are hoping that it will be over today. The only downside is that it has created longer days for all of us since we were both battling different traffic during rush hour and not getting home until later than usual most nights. But, it is what it is and like I said, he’s actually enjoying the whole process. I think it helps that all we watch are lawyer shows, like Suits and HTGAWM. Ha!

We had girls’ night this week at Cooper’s Hawk. I had a happy heart after dinner and drinks with these amazing ladies.

Joy Cho is at it again with another one of her Target collections. She had already released her new home and nursery line and this weekend her layette collection for babies will be available. I mean, give me all the babies. I want to buy every single piece! Better yet, can she make them in toddler sizes? So adorable!

Now it’s your turn. It’s a new month, come on over and share what you’re loving!

30 Things We Do in our 30s That We Didn’t Do in our 20s

Yesterday campus closed at noon due to the football game, so Greg and I got to spend some time together sans kiddos which is a rarity. We made the rounds and had lunch at Marlow’s Tavern then went to Target, Lowe’s, JoAnn’s, and ended our excursion at Jeremiah’s Italian Ice. What we really wanted to go was go home and take a nap, but we were actually productive. It’s good to spend some time with my main squeeze.

Dark Sky
This app is amazing. My friend introduced me to it while we were in Chicago. She announced that rain would be stopping in 12 minutes and she was right on the money. I was still a little skeptical due to the crazy Florida weather we have, but for real, this app is insane. It is so accurate!

the ucf football team visited the kids’ school on friday. kenley talked about it all week long. judging by the photo that a friend sent to me, it looked like she had a great time!

just a friday night walk around the block in our pjs.

katie and i got in six miles on saturday morning and we were done before 7am. it sure felt good.

after my run, we took a two mile bike ride while greg ran. it probably wasn’t the best idea considering the high was 99 degrees on saturday.

best buds…when they want to be.

i ordered the sticker labels for my oils, which prompted me to clean out two of our junk drawers this weekend. i’m obsessed.

seriously? already?

three of the boys in crosby’s class came over today to swim. they sure are fun to watch together. crosby was so excited to see them outside of school, he wasn’t sure what to do.

today marked kenley’s first day diving into the pool from the side!

she loved it!

they sure are cute.
