we headed to hollywood studios on thursday for a nontraditional thanksgiving.

we had such a great long weekend. it was a little out of the ordinary, but so fun. we had thanksgiving dinner on friday before watching the insane ucf football game!

we have so much to be thankful for.

my thanksgiving weekend in photos

greg had to work on wednesday night, so we visited him after i picked the kids up from their camp day at school.

we enjoyed the very last little bit of cool weather.

i swore i wouldn’t get on the ferris wheel again, but they dragged me up for another go around. it actually wasn’t as bad as the first time and you can’t beat the view of the christmas lights.

thanksgiving morning started with a four mile run with about 18 other mamas and our friend richard. it was a great way to start the day and the weekend.

we hosted grammy for thanksgiving. it was a great meal with a delicious apple pie. we ate too much and watched a lot of football.

crosby didn’t have any thanksgiving dinner and woke up friday morning feeling yucky. it turns out that he had strep throat and unfortunately our doctor didn’t offer any black friday specials. bummer. we ended up at the target pharmacy and i was pleasantly surprised that target wasn’t crazy at 9am on black friday. he started feeling much better by friday evening.

after some errands on saturday morning, we headed over to port canaveral for the race expo. we hit up the florida brewing company and the kids got to play games while we tried some beers.

we stayed the night in port canaveral on saturday night for my race this morning. the kids had fun staying at the hotel and getting out of the house.

i ran the space coast half marathon this morning and had an amazing race, but i have been feeling it the rest of the day. i will post a recap and more pictures this week.

we had a great thanksgiving day and especially loved hearing all of the things that the kids are thankful for. we loved having grammy visit and we had a great time over on the coast. it’s back to reality tomorrow.

my {thanksgiving} weekend in photos

we played at daddy’s work on wednesday night while he was working to kick off our long weekend. the ice slide may be my favorite thing ever.

thanksgiving day was full of playing, cooking, and eating. daddy fried the turkey and i made the sides, including homemade mashed potatoes and stuffing. crosby didn’t have one bite of thanksgiving dinner and greg and i ate leftovers all weekend.

the kids went to their first movie on friday! we saw the good dinosaur which was cute.

we took a couple bike rides this weekend and went to the park a few times. we are hoping for cooler weather soon!

saturday night, i headed over to cocoa with some other moms to stay the night before the race this morning. we hit up the expo and carb loaded before heading to the hotel for the night.

4:15am came very early, but it turned out to be my day. i had an amazing race and was beyond thrilled with my 2:14:09 finishing time. i will write up a full race recap this week because i definitely want to remember this one.

we decorated the house this weekend, so we are ready for christmas! wyatt and kennedy came to play this afternoon, so we had to do a photo in front of the tree!

my [thanksgiving] weekend in photos

turkey trot 5k on thanksgiving morning.

greg fried up a turkey for us for dinner.

you can’t turn your head for one minute.

but he sure is cute.

greg worked all day (and all night) on friday so we went to visit him at work and have dinner.

after nap time on saturday, we headed down to the science center. kenley loves the car. she also touched a snake!

crosby just liked wandering around.

kayla and i met up for our last run together before the ouc half marathon next weekend. we’ve been running together long enough that we’re starting to dress alike.

majority of our time in target was spent like this. no matter how many times i turned him around, he ended up like this again. i eventually gave up.

such is life.

we finished up decorating the house this weekend and greg hung the lights outside. the elf even made his comeback tonight. we’re excited for the month of december!

my thanksgiving weekend in photos

we have so much to be thankful for.

thanksgiving dinner was low key and it was just the four of us.
our menu included:
fried turkey
mashed potatoes
gravy
stuffing casserole muffins
green bean casserole
and pumpkin pie.
it was perfect.

we ended the evening with a fire at the jenkinson’s.
we had perfect weather with temperatures in the 50’s.
i think it’s the start of a great tradition.

our little man turned one month old!

and is sporting his first cloth diaper.
he wasn’t thrilled.

one tough cookie i tell ya.

even though our tree has been up for a week now,
it’s acceptable for me to share it with you.
we’re excited for the christmas season!

we even made a visit to the big man!
kenley did a great job, but was a little scared.
she told us before that she wanted ornaments for christmas,
but now the answer has changed to presents since she has seen them under the tree.

we had a wonderful thanksgiving weekend together as a family of four.
it’s hard to believe it’s already december!

our weekend started on wednesday.

it was moving day! yes, that truck looks bigger than our house,
yet it still took two trips to the new house.

greg drank is coffee out of a measuring cup,
while i opted for panera coffee when i stopped to get bagels.

luckily, i got to be the one who unpacked and organized,
while the men did all the heavy lifting.
i thought i was making real progress, until the second load of stuff came over.
