how was your weekend?

Dahlonega, Georgia {September 2018}

Over Labor Day weekend, I headed up to the Georgia mountains for Kelly’s bachelorette party! I hopped on a flight on Friday which got me to Atlanta, then we drove up to the mountains late Friday afternoon. As soon as I got out of my sweet rental car, I snapped a picture. The view was amazing! The house was enormous and just perfect for the occasion.

On Saturday morning, a few of us went out for a walk…down the mountain and then back up. I just could not get over the gorgeous views!

In the afternoon, we set off on our winery tour. I had so much fun with these ladies! We’re already looking forward to our reunion at the wedding next month.

Our first stop was Yonah Mountain Vineyards, which ended up being my second favorite stop of the day. The views were great and the inside was gorgeous. The wine was also delicious!

Our second stop was Kaya Vineyard and Winery. Based on the wine, this was my least favorite, but it had the best shopping. The gift shop was full of adorable rustic goodness.

Untitled

Our last stop was Montaluce Winery and Estates which was my favorite. The entire property was stunning. The wine was delicious and our dinner was fabulous. I had fancy chicken and waffles because I was in the south and I had to.

We had such a great day celebrating our sweet friend Kelly!

I spent Sunday by the pool with the girls and my Kindle before it was time to head back down to reality to catch my evening flight.

Untitled

It was such a lovely weekend away. Did I mention how beautiful it was there? This is an area that I would love to go back to so I can try the other wineries in the area.

Friday I’m in Love

Happy Friday! There is so much to love right now, the holidays are right around the corner and we’ve been having some amazing fall weather this week.

I have shared my love for ALDI a few times, but here is yet another reason to give ALDI a try:

ALDI to go Full Organic, Bans Pesticides and Rivals Whole Foods as the Healthiest Grocery Store

I promise, you won’t be disappointed. I am so excited about the changes coming to the store and I will definitely be expanding my grocery list when shopping there.

Metallica’s new ablum was released this week, as well as their rendition of Enter Sandman with classroom instruments on Jimmy Fallon. I love these!

The Joe Biden memes are everything this week. If you need a good laugh, please go check them out. There are so many articles going viral right now about the memes and here is one about the man behind the memes.

Heather invited me to be her guest at Wine Women & Shoes last night benefiting the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation. It was such a fun night towards such a great cause.

In case you missed it, I shared this week that I will be running the Chicago Marathon next October with Team RMHC. It feels way too real now that I have actually announced it to the world. I’m so nervous already.

Friday I'm in Love Linky Party

Don’t forget to check out what Misha and Aileen are loving this week! What about you?

Untitled

friday night date night at cooper’s hawk. we are now proud members of the wine club so we will be getting our wine on more often. i’m excited!

Untitled

let me tell you, the last thing i wanted to do the next morning was get up and run 10 miles, but that’s why you have a running buddy… to hold you accountable. we knocked at 10 miles and felt pretty good afterwards. we weren’t as concerned with pace as we were just finishing. running in the summer is no joke. this was my longest run before the rock n roll half marathon in chicago next month!

Untitled

the boy is obsessed with this train set.

the pool store happened to be close to jeremiah’s italian ice which was exactly what we needed on a hot day. unrelated, this is the face he makes every time he sees himself on the phone.

saturday night was our first time getting the spa going… which worked out well seeing how i ran 10 miles that morning. greg and i enjoyed a little quiet time to ourselves after the kids were in bed.

Untitled

the perfect wine to take to a new mom.

Untitled

we got to meet baby andrew today! kenley is obsessed with all things baby so she loved him. crosby loved him until i started holding him and then he was not thrilled about that. he knows he’ll always be my baby.

Untitled

we also got to see kenley’s old teacher who was visiting this weekend. so fun!
